I am a land artist responding to place, making both permanent and temporary sculptures which integrate within their surroundings. Solutions ranging from earthworks lasting many years to temporary interventions lasting a few weeks. The spatial aspect within my work becomes a key element to consider so that people can interact with both the sculpture and place.
Documentation through photography is an important part of my process.
I have practised and presently teach the process of landscape architecture. I believe that the two disciplines create an integrated art form with in an existing landscape that is both sculptural and functional to the user. |
